I started my etsy shop when I retired from full time teaching. I have always sewn and created items for my family and home. I have been involved in many craft shows through the years.

I was introduced to etsy by a friend that wanted me to open a shop. I had never heard of etsy. One evening, I logged on to etsy at her request and was hooked. I wanted to be a part of this handmade community. I began to define what I wanted my shop to offer to customers. I decided to focus on baby items for my Bebe Chic Boutique shop. I was a new grandmother and very drawn to baby blankets and other baby care items. I have spent many hours researching baby development, baby products, and safety issues. I have also designed and redesigned my products to make them the best I can offer.

I started with one sewing machine and now have six, each one doing a little something different. My studio is located in a bonus room above our garage. It is just a perfect place for me to work. I'm so fortunate to have such a large area devoted to sewing. When I first started my shop, I would purchase yardage from local fabric stores to create the items I made. I have now progressed to having wholesale accounts with many different suppliers of fabric and sewing needs.

I believe that a handmade gift truly comes from the heart. In today's busy world, you may not have time to create a quality handmade gift. That's where I and many other shops on etsy offer unique handmade items made with love.
